Bishop Agniswamy College of Education was 2005 by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kottar, a Religious Minority. The Bishop of the Diocese is the chairman of the College of Education and he appoints a Priest of the Diocese, as its Secretary. Board of Governance designs the policy matters of the College of Education.

Staff were appointed as per norms of UGC and its finalized by governing body of the institution.
